Aragaki plays Akane, who is determined to protect the longevity of the Tendo dojo. However, one day her father Soun suddenly declares that the dojo’s successor must be male. Nice special, but I have problems to play the 720p version
MP4 usually works fine on my PC and TV/HD Player – but this Ranma.mp4 file crashes the PC Videoplayer
and if I try to play it on my HD Videoplayer on TV : Not supported.
Anyone sucsessfully played and watched it ???

10/10 Perfect comedy!
I never watched anime or read old manga so I can’t compare so I won’t compare.
Nevertheless I LOLed so hard i nearly threw up my breakfast just 1 minute into the movie!
Story is nicely done very interesting, actors played very well – maybe just maybe Kaku Kento may played better Ranmu but he was sooo great doing his fights…And Akane’s father is totally hilarious – he is doing face expressions so bizarre you probably wouldn’t even see them in manga
And of course Natsuna Watanabe as female Ranmu is just so cute :3
Anyway it’s a great movie ;]

not my kind of movie though
maybe it is too short and those who are not familiar with this manga not having enough time to understand the characters (or is it just me)
i like hilarious movie, but not this one, maybe i am expecting too much based on comments and aragaki. i think she is a good actress

The story and the dialogues were fun and there were so many scenes I still remember from the manga. The differences the special showed from it were understandable since they tried to squeeze a lot of story into that short movie but one couldn’t mind less.
As a longtime fan of Ranma 1/2 I have to say that the cast is brilliantly chosen and their acting is really close to the manga’s characters! I loved the panda
The only thing I’d have to complain is that they made Akane the main character which is a crime against the manga and it’s a pity since Kaku Kento and Natsuna are doing their party really well
Anyway, it’s sad they made only a special, a whole drama series would have been the best Christmas gift ever!
(Although I guess they’d get problems with Shampoo and P-chan<3)
